It was already pretty competitive last year. Until it becomes non-competitive you’re just trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist

Points generated and points scored are not the same thing. If I have 2 assists to 2 players, that’s still 4, 5, or 6 points generated
I personally have doubts about how much better he can actually get from here. I think his peak is “above average starting center” which is fine, but not what you look for in the top 5
If someone gets 30 points that a minimum of 60 points generated, more like 80 with 3s. Most likely a game will be a blowout when one player generates that many points
If Zach Edey is legit Canada will have their biggest issue solved. Also don’t bring Jamal Murray
Russell Westbrook transformed into muscle chestbrook over his time in the league
To me, there are two possible definitions of a superstar.
Their fame exceeds basketball. Guys like Curry, KD, and Lebron. Great basketball players, but what makes them superstars is that literally everyone, whether or not they watch basketball, knows who they are. The “asses in seats” metric. There are 5 or less of these guys in the NBA at one time.
A guy who could realistically be the best player on a championship team. This is what most people mean by superstar. There are at most 7 or 8 of these guys in the NBA at one time. By this definition, we pretty much only have Lebron, Curry, KD, SGA, Jokic, Luka, Tatum, and Ant. Really if you want to narrow it down even more it’s “Could realistically be the best offensive player on a championship team”.
