It’s not crazy but I don’t think it’s true (unless it’s one of those, every player is better now thing, which I don’t find ultra interesting)
It’s one game, so whatever, but it did always strike me as a little strange that one French guy ends up being a top prospect, and then all of the sudden, a country that has produced relatively few NBA players has several top 10 draft picks.
Reminded me of Nikoloz Tskitishvili or Darko Milicic being drafted in hopes that they were the next Dirk
Net rating and on/offs are notoriously noisy stats and require context, but I think as concepts they’re useful, and if a player improves their team by say 10 points, to me, it doesn’t much matter how much of the breakdown is offense or defense
