My issue with this sub when it comes to on/off is that people often pick and choose when to use it or give it context.

Like Russ without KD playoff lineups regularly performed better offensively than Russ with KD lineups. Yet you never heard anybody bring that stat up to say Russ is more impactful or whatever.

Regardless, on/off isn’t that simple. The rotations you run and just quite literally the playstyle of the team all play a part. Hence why even Steph and KD on/off numbers got alot closer if you look at playoff only as well. Basketball doesn’t work like that and shouldn’t be looked at that way only when comparing two players.

Sure it’s not the be all end all but the Dubs literally won two championships without KD, they won 73 games before he got there. Like we know that as good as he is, he wasn’t the secret ingredient to their success.

I think the point isn’t he’s the secret ingredient

It’s just he isn’t Harrison Barnes and actually helped win games lol

No one is saying he’s Harrison and that he didn’t help win games he’s Kevin Durant of course he did lol but my thing is acting like his gravity was on the level of Curry’s is just not what happened on the court. We watched the games and have watched both guys play without each other.
