“I go back to a role where 7 seconds to go, give me the ball. Watch me rock. Uh, isolation, step back. I get to hoop. You know, that’s what people forget about. Like, it’s cool. I played a great role. I had a phenomenal NBA career while I was in the NBA. But I don’t wanna stand in the corner and play with the Bucks.”

Cause It’s the role he’s always played in the NBA. Just comes off as salty saying now.

And Pat Bev has a history of shitting on his former team after he gets traded or doesn’t get another offer.

Pat Bev has a career usg rate of 14%

Not sure what point you are trying to make, but you’re wrong

Bev had offers, and he definitely hasn’t been relegated to corner duty his whole career. Even as recently as the wolves he had secondary ball handler duties (primary when dlo was off the court)

Dude just wants a bigger role and knew he wasn’t getting that in the NBA, it’s just realism

My guess it is mostly money related. His deal is similar to a vet minimum, but I’m guessing he won’t pay much in taxes and will have most expenses paid for

A bigger role is just a cherry on top

You can say that about a majority of players in NBA history. Championships are really hard to achieve (at least for the rest of us pleb teams lol).

Those same players don’t talk shit to the level of loudness and publicity that Pat Bev has done it. And many of them accomplish a lot more than Pat Bev despite not winning a chip.

Plus he’s a dirty cheap shot player.

I don’t get how ppl can hate on this. Now he’s guaranteed more money and also getting to play more. He balled out in these last playoffs and showed he’s not just a corner guy, he can playmake and do a little bit of everything. I expect him to cook people while overseas.

When he played in Olympiacos (which was the biggest european team he ever played) he definitely wasn’t a star. Not even a starter. He was more a of a “special assignment” guy. Usually subbed in to defend the opponents ball handler and foul during the latter part of the game.

Good for him, if he wants to actually play point guard (which he was decent as in Europe before the NBA and during some stretches in his NBA career) instead of just being a 3&D guy good for him, he can still have fun (not sure he’s still good enough to do it on a REALLY good Euroleague team but we’ll see)
