The finale has to be kayak cross. That is the maddest sport in the Olympics.
Also love that you included Table Tennis.

A huge amount of German athletes are in university during their active career. They just don’t get a scholarship, because university is free in Germany and University sports teams aren’t a big thing. Some even are in the Armed Forces, going to University and are Olympic athletes, all three at the same time. Because we do have a system where the Army finances specific army sports groups, where the athletes have to come to Army training now and again and otherwise are free to do what they like, but get an Army salary.
At the end of the day even Olympic athletes don’t actively train 15 hours a week. And when you are recovering between training sessions, you can sit around and play FIFA, like professional footballers do, or you can study, because you know you’ll need some skills when your sports career ends.
Obviously, Games in our own timezone are the best, but I prefer the Americas to Asia/Oceania. LA will probably have events start at something like 8am PDT which is 5pm CEST and then run all through the European night until something like 6 or 7am. In Tokyo, we had events start at 1am CEST and then go into the early afternoon. Cool, if you can take the day off or are in school. Sucks, if you have to work. For LA, I can watch the whole evening and then get a quick update/highlights in the morning. For Asia, it always feels like you are a day behind, watching highlights from 17 hours ago at 8pm and not getting any live sport in the evening.
Women are generally considered better shots on the whole. It’s one of the few sports in which women seem to have a physical advantage. I don’t know if there is an agreed upon explanation, but I’ve seen as possible explanation that women tend to have better fine motor skills, women’s bodies generally have a lower point of gravity or that women have better static vision, while men are better at tracking moving targets.
300k Trail Run. Everyone gets a GPS tracker and an automatic drone following them.
