“I don’t really think the Lakers are serious anymore,” Cousins said. “I love everything that LeBron stands for… as far as the Lakers actually competing, I don’t know. I take that as a sign that they aren’t really serious.”

None of this would matter if Bronny was treated like the 58th pick, but he’s not.

If Bronnys dad wasn’t a top 5 all time player, and probably the greatest player of the past 20 years, who then strong armed his team into drafting his son who was not ready for this, then yeah, sure. Bronny should have spent 4 years at college improving, this is all for his dad, and his dad is massively under the microscope so now so is Bronny.

People conveniently forget that he went 55th after his camp said that he wouldn’t play for any other team besides the Lakers or Suns. Obviously no other team is gonna take that risk for Bronny, we have no idea if he would have gone higher.

Yeah, maybe he could have. It’s wild to call teams and tell them not to draft him or he won’t play. Is the goal to make the league or only to play for the lakers with dad? I understand wanting him to play with his dad, but stopping other teams from drafting him when they might be able to develop him better seems transparent.

I’m sure he’s used to it, but I still feel bad for him. It feels like he is a pawn in this game between the Lakers and LeBron. I hope he succeeds, but not with the Lakers as I wish nothing good for them ever.
