“I don’t really think the Lakers are serious anymore,” Cousins said. “I love everything that LeBron stands for… as far as the Lakers actually competing, I don’t know. I take that as a sign that they aren’t really serious.”
You can flame me in a year or two when he’s out of the league, but I’m still all for the Lakers taking him at the 55th pick. Sure they could have gotten a slightly better player, but I would 100% gamble on the son of the GOAT improving enough while playing with his own father to be worth his draft spot. He’s never going to be another LeBron, but I still think he’ll turn out to be a decent player in time. And if he doesn’t, it’s still gonna make them some money
Nepo hasn’t been cut yet?!
Lol
When I want to know about being serious about winning, first person that comes to mind is always DeMarcus Cousins. 😂
WHY CANT PEOPLE JUST APPRECIATE IT FOR WHAT IT IS THIS IS A FUCKING GAME ITS SUPER COOL THAT A DAD IS PLAYING WITH HIS SON AND ITS NOT JUST ANY DAD ITS ARGUABLY THE GREATEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME. DADDY CHILL.
Damn they got Logan Royed by DeMarcus Cousins of all dudes
This is the NBA man, no one wins or loses based on the 55th pick of the 2nd round.
I don’t think anyone thinks they’re serious about winning
Lakers are arguably a top 8 team in the league
This is the least excited I’ve ever been for a Lakers season. I think a lot of fans have checked out on this team
What about when Another duck was streaming tank commander games?
Ah yes because they picked up the 55th pick and sending him to the g league means they aren’t serious. Who gave this man a mic?!?
They haven’t been serious since they signed Russ and fired Vogel. Even before that they were deeply unserious, it’s only by happenstance that Bron wanted to live in LA and play for them. Apart from him which other big name free agents have wanted to sign there in the last decade?
Not exactly the poster boy for winning himself, is he?
Worst case it’s the Lakers busting on a 2nd round pick.
He was drafted bottom of the second round. Marginal + / - to the next guy. So basketball wise, it’s negligible. But from the qualitative perspective, it brings a fun and different buzz around the team.
He’s not gonna receive one minute of non-blowout time the entire season.
