If you have no background whatsoever? Shooting, the Turkish guy that won is 51 years old.
If you have lots of money? Horse-riding, just buy your way to victory.
In another post that appears to have been deleted I mentioned that the horse should get a medal for doing all the work. The OP got mad and said the rider does it all. Told me I know nothing about riding. But I looked outside at the 3 horses I own and thought yep I know nothing about you three. Don’t know how I’ve kept them around for 5 years. I just kind of laughed about it.
Toi tu connais rien au cheval 😅
Interesting question. I would say none because all athletes are practicing since their youngest ages and are in their 20’s, you won’t catch their level with a 30’s body starting from scratch. Only ones i can see are Archery, Horse Riding, Golf and maybe Boxing.
The shooter guy was 51, if you start in your 30s that’s 20 years of training
20 years of training against people with 35-40 because they didn’t start in their 30’s , still the same problem.
The question was what’s the easiest sport to train for in your 30’s and hope to win. Shooting is an obvious answer at it requires very little pure athleticism. Obviously it is still incredibly unlikely but you would definitely have a better shot than an actual physical activity. And a ton of the shooters in this Olympics were in their mid 20s, they don’t all have 35-40 years experience lmao
He is ex millitary
To start from scratch?
I think maybe Canoe/ kayak/speed climbing?
As someone who grew up around lots of canoe clubs, definitely not canoeing, kayaking
Curling, for Winter Olympics.
I think the problem is not starting late, the problem is that you won’t be able to catch up on the experience other athletes have. In your 30s you are ofc still young and your body is capable of learning, but it just takes SO long to perfect a skill, 10 years at least.
But other than that I think my guess would be breakdancing! (Ik it won’t be in the Olympics next time). All you need is an athletic body, strength (calisthenics training would be the best) and then learn the moves which are honestly not out-of-this-world kinda difficult. I think within 5 years of intense practice you can become a v good bboy/bgirl (raygun showed us lol)
Esports have a chance of making it into the Olympics at some point. Pick one of the games that is popular and start playing 20+ hours/week.
Break dancing lol
