He’s stacking up that resume pretty damn well at the back side of his career but 2 time all star and only all defensive teams might put it into question. One of the greatest role players of all time truly to me!

I wouldn’t put him in. Really good player not a HOFer.

2x all-star, 6 all-defensive teams, 2 rings, and 2 gold medals. He probably makes it.

Yeah, it’s the basketball hall of fame not the NBA Hall of Fame…

I feel like he should. His accomplishments as a player are borderline but considering his impact beyond the court and how he’s perceived by his peers, i think he gets it

I would say he’s not but he’s in some really elite company. Looking at people who played on team USA since 92 everyone that was called for a 2nd team USA stint is a Hall of Famer or will be in the hall of fame. The only exception is Carlos Boozer and he was pretty good.

Deron Williams is another exception (also has a few All Star appearances with the 2 golds). Jrue has a way better rep than DWill though, which goes a long way.

Better rep for sure, and being a key part of two different championship teams also goes a long way.

love The Jruth but odds are stacked against him. 1.7% per bbref. as a comp Aloysius Horford sits at 23.8%

    BUT

he’s only 33. I thought he was older than Mike Conley. Jruth needs more hardware / chips. Oly '24 helps.

Ppl think Kyrie is a lock too for some reason. now comparing resumes, Jrue definitely has more worthwhile accolades

Borderline, but probably no. He’ll be stuck with Rasheed in the Hall of Very Good.

That’s the comparison I always make. TMac and Jrue. Careers, skills, athleticism… they couldn’t be more similar.

I feel like the 2 gold medals gets him over the hump. This being the basketball HoF, not NBA HoF…

Is Holiday doesn’t make the hall then it really is just about the box score. He has great stats AND he one of the greatest perimeter defenders in an era that is tough to be a lockdown defender

I believe he makes it, his later career has pretty much assured it. Not much of an all star but a multiple time champion, multiple time defensive player, multiple time Team USA selectee and champion at that too.

If he wins one more championship he definitely makes it as a third ballot.
