This topic is so overdone. You would think it was some pivotal decision that ended up ruining Team USA’s Olympics results.

I would not have KAT that high at 19, especially not over someone like Brown.
Lavine is too high at 40.
Grant is too high at 52. His stats are inflated by playing on a tanking team.
Gobert has his woes but he shouldn’t be so low at 57.
I would also move Jrue and White higher.
Holmgren at 61 is better than a lot of the guys over him.
There shouldn’t be this big of a gap between Allen and Mobley.
DLo is too high at 66, when you factor in his playoff issues.
Feels like you are also very low on Draymond at 80.
Giannis with 1 good NBA player would have been a menace.
Most of the discussion here is casual.
People get into the sport at different points in time and most people don’t have the time to watch games outside their own team to form a detailed opinion on most of the players. You also just forget a lot about the older players, especially the non-superstars, as time goes on. I don’t think using stats as crutches is too damning.
Do you want people to mention the season whenever they discuss players ?
KD has a clear advantage.
You take away what is probably LeBron’s best attribute, his passing.
I like the idea of a more comprehensive tournament with more games.
I don’t know how combining two events would work financially though, at least in the short term, since you do lose the revenue from the World Cup.
Among the top players, Wilt’s offensive game is a bit overrated. I would say Oscar and West were better offensive players in that era.
Though Wilt’s defense is also a bit underrated. You can make a strong case that he is a top 5 defender of all time.
I would say he was better.
An offensive genius who played a unique role and had immense impact.
I read a decent amount of your proposal document I appreciate all the work and thought you put into this.
It’s a nice idea but the obvious issue is that you’ll never get buy-in from either the owners or the players association since they would never wish to be a part of a “lower league”.
What are your current plans? Now that the NBA has rejected it.
He will obviously not be in the rotation.
At best he will stay with the team and learn from JJ/LeBron by participating in team practices and playing Garbage Time minutes.
OKC is in such a great situation with two fringe all star level players on Rookie deals.
When was the last time a contender had something like this ?
