LeBron clearly has all-time longevity. However, no one beats father time. Do you think LeBron has the ability, or even the desire, to play with his next potential NBA player son?

    Possible? Yes.

    Likely? No.

Lebron won’t be one who goes out averaging 10/2/3 off the bench as a role player. I suspect if he struggles to get 20/5/5 he’ll hang it up.

Possible? Absolutely. If LeBron wanted to, he could make it happen. He’s aging so gracefully there’s no reason to think he couldn’t still contribute at the NBA level two years from now. He would certainly become exponentially slower and less effective in those years, similar to Vince Carter at that age, but for a reasonable price I think any team would take him if for no other reason than how wisdom and leadership.

Do I think he will? Hmm. I don’t think he intends to, and maybe doesn’t feel the need to. But the question will likely come up again before he retires and the hypothetical answer could give him pause.

I gather he’s a junior in high school.

Unless the NBA and NCAA stop the mutually agreed upon one-and-done rule, then that means LeBron plays at least four more seasons.

That will mostly just depend on psyche for him.

I know sometimes we see lame fucks posting shit about players “only working 82 days a year,” but the reality is it’s a year-round job. Maybe a week off from all basketball activity during the summer. No self-respecting person only has a week of PTO for the entire year in real life.

He’d have to be OK accepting averaging 10 PPG and accepting he’ll never play a meaningful game again. I know the Lakers just made the WCF two seasons ago, but they are WORSE with no avenue to improve.

How long ago was that? Because LeBron was recently quoted as saying he has a lot left in the tank when it comes to basketball. Feelings change, whichever is more current I’m more inclined to believe

LeBrons quote came roughly two weeks ago. He specifically repeated and emphasized the words “a lot”

    He has the ability.

He is 40 yrs old. And still arguably in bottom of the Top 10 Players in the league.

Even if he gets older. He will still be a Decent Nba Player.

But if it is like 3-5 years from now. I am not sure about his desire.
