  • Possible? Absolutely. If LeBron wanted to, he could make it happen. He’s aging so gracefully there’s no reason to think he couldn’t still contribute at the NBA level two years from now. He would certainly become exponentially slower and less effective in those years, similar to Vince Carter at that age, but for a reasonable price I think any team would take him if for no other reason than how wisdom and leadership.

Do I think he will? Hmm. I don’t think he intends to, and maybe doesn’t feel the need to. But the question will likely come up again before he retires and the hypothetical answer could give him pause.

  • I am, was, and will always be a huge Jordan fan. But we have to look at all this with clear vision.

MANY of these highlights (in slow-motion) involve MJ moving the ball around in the air while “floating”. The only reason he made that shit look so cool is because he had gigantic hands. Bigger than most centers. Seriously. He was gripping a tennis ball out there. So keep that in mind while you watch these sexy slow-motion videos.

He had a great vertical. But it’s not 45 inches. It’s probably 42 – which is still incredible. He looked as though he were jumping really, stupidly, impossibly high because in many cases other players were completely flat-footed. Don’t believe me? Rewatch the video. That’s the era he started in.

I suppose it’s fair to say that in the mid-80’s through the early 90’s he was an athletic marvel. But after that… no. Many players with a better vertical have come and gone since MJ. But no 6’6" guard since has been able to jump as high while holding onto the ball like he could squeeze the air out of it with one hand.

  • Yes. Whether the Timberwolves manage the situation correctly still remains to be seen though. Ant could end up taking the KG or Kevin Love route eventually. But if the team managers thinks correctly I absolutely believe he has that dog in him as well as the talent to be the number one option on the best team in the league that wins a championship. He has ascended through the entirety of his young career and already plays with a poise beyond his years. Imagine when he’s 27.
