Straightforward inquiry - you’ll frequently see the Miami Heat (specifically Pat Riley) criticized on this sub for opting to retire Michael Jordan’s jersey, done as a way of honoring the man. The Mavericks (as dictated by Cuban) did the same for Kobe following his tragic death in 2016, and while you could attribute the lack of criticism to respect, it’s been almost 10 years and I never see any kind of criticism towards them for the action.

Is it because they didn’t hang it in the rafters? Or are we still in mourning for Kobe?

Maybe the Heat just don’t offer enough other reason to make fun of them. DeAndre Jordan, Brunson and Co. we offer plenty of chances.

I didn’t know they did that. It’s lame. I will make fun of them for it.

Are the Heat “criticized” that much? I think everyone’s just like “alright”
