Reverse screen with KD as the ball handler and Steph as the screener was some OP strat. Can’t give KD space from the screen. Can’t blitz the ball handler because you’ll leave Steph wide open. Can’t just switch either because you’ll get horrible mismatches. Only hope is KD makes a bad pass, Steph somehow misses a wide open shot, or KD smokes an easy middy or layup.

Then there’s Klay waiting as the extra pass.

That whole season was a cheat code. There have been “clearly the best team that year” champions over the decades, but this warriors team was legitimately, by definition, virtually unbeatable.

Crazy to have witnessed the world crucify the lakers at even the THOUGHT of Chris Paul playing with Kobe Bryant but that same universe allowed this fairytale lineup to exist.

The showtime lakers had battles. The 80s Cs had battles. The bulls had battles. Dynasty lakers and spurs had battles. This warriors unit, to me, short of KD altering the timeline with a ripped Achilles, is the most unbeatable team in history.

people are usually pretty clear that the 2017 warriors were significantly better than the 2018 team
