Excuse the clunky phrasing. Just interested in finding out more about Olympians who also apply their intelligence towards other, perhaps more academic(?), pursuits. I’ll add that I think what’s incredible about those two in particular is that they both seem so well grounded and well adjusted, at least from what I’ve seen in interviews.
Amy Chow from the Magnificent 7 is a pediatrician. Kim Bui (Germany) was getting her Master’s in technical biology while competing. Andreea Răducan (România) has a master’s degree in journalism. Lisa Leveille (Canada, 2000) has a PhD in neuroscience and an MD.
Had not heard Amy’s name in forever. Glad to know she is apparently doing very well!
