Excuse the clunky phrasing. Just interested in finding out more about Olympians who also apply their intelligence towards other, perhaps more academic(?), pursuits. I’ll add that I think what’s incredible about those two in particular is that they both seem so well grounded and well adjusted, at least from what I’ve seen in interviews.

Technically she’s studying a JD, Juris Doctor, or a law degree. Not really a doctorate in a PhD sense, but impressive nonetheless.
