Title basically.

We already know LA chose baseball, now I wonder who’s gonna win the most medals lol.

Why didn’t France choose something like petanque ?

They chose it because France has a legendary breaking scene with some of the most influential competitors and crews in the form.

France already hosted several of the major bboying showcases and competitions every year. It is quite literally a part of Parisian culture.

France is probably more the world epicenter for petanque than for breaking. Having invented the sport in its modern form, and having won 57 world titles.

Epicenter of street dance forms in general, not breaking specifically.

Battle of the Year (Montpelier), Juste Debout, Fusion Concept are all hosted in France annually. The most recent BC One was hosted in Paris. Les Twins, Stephane Deheselle, Criminalz, Yudat, Vagabonds, etc, are all French names known all around the world and not just within dance either. Both things can be true anyway.
