Usually, people have Joker, Giannis, And SGA on their top 5 players beside w Luka and Embiid.

But Luka and Embiid are kinda expected superstars. Unlike Jokic, Giannis, and SGA.

This is probably the only decade where 3 of the top 5 players in the league are unexpected superstars.

We never saw this coming.

Back in their draft 2013-2014. People thought Andrew Wiggins and Jabari parker would be next in line. LMAO.

Turns out to be non lottery picks Joker, Giannis. And 11th pick SGA are the next in line. Lol

Nba is really unexpected and unpredictable.

Yes and we watched half a season of Embid being a tier above everyone (including my boy himself), while Steph was bouncing between great and mediocre games and the Lakers looking better without Lebron at times and him watching birds on defense.

He was by far the most accomplished young prospect ever to step foot in the NBA.

You can say some college players from the US, but the guy was a champ and MVP in the euroleague and was at that point a pro for years.

I do however gotta say that a lot of time it happens that guys that are good in Europe simoly dont do well in the NBA so i understand why people were scheptic.

Jalen Brunson was 2nd round, 33rd overall

He’s been very good in regular season games with Dallas and the Knicks, but his sudden ascension in this year’s playoffs is exactly the type of thing that makes fans discredit regular season performance

He was absolutely lights out in the playoffs. He somehow just accessed another level entirely.

Superstardom comes from consistency, though, so we’ll see if it was a one-and-done like Trae Young. But if he performs like that again next year I think he’ll solidify himself as a superstar

Mostly true, but his regular season was also at a superstar level: 5th in MVP, 5th in Coaches poll, 8th in win shares, 4th in PPG, 13th in APG.

I’m tired of this narrative that Brunson has only been good for one season lol. He started his superstardom in his last year with Dallas and you saw glimpses of what he could be. Then when he got to the Knicks 2 seasons ago, he fully took over the city and team with his play and leadership. The guy is a natural born winner and I have no doubt he will 100% be firmly in the top 6 going forward for the foreseeable future.
