Jefferson had great footwork, but he traveled on quite a few of these.

Funny enough, these are some of the types of travels refs will actually call these days, which is obviously lifting your pivot prior to putting down your first dribble in the post.

There’s also a few where he obviously swaps his pivot foot.

But he still had a lot of good post moves and people should pay attention to some of the strategies he used–even if his back-to-the-basket pace isn’t really something that works these days. A lot of these moves can be incorporated into a higher-pace playstyle as well.

I mean, there are about 10 other players with better footwork and moves who dominated the 90s before him…

Speaking of udnerrated post scorer, I wish there higher quality Luis Scola highlight reels out there, his footwork was god tier given he only shot with his right hand.
