I don’t know why Big Al’s highlights keep popping up on my feed, I just know that Jesus loves us

And he never once finished lefty
It’s beautiful. I’m glad someone posted this. That one playoff series when they were an 8 seed or something made me a fan. Underrated as hell.
Excellent commentary! Very insightful and appreciate the post!
Jefferson had great footwork, but he traveled on quite a few of these.
Funny enough, these are some of the types of travels refs will actually call these days, which is obviously lifting your pivot prior to putting down your first dribble in the post.
There’s also a few where he obviously swaps his pivot foot.
But he still had a lot of good post moves and people should pay attention to some of the strategies he used–even if his back-to-the-basket pace isn’t really something that works these days. A lot of these moves can be incorporated into a higher-pace playstyle as well.
I mean, there are about 10 other players with better footwork and moves who dominated the 90s before him…
Speaking of udnerrated post scorer, I wish there higher quality Luis Scola highlight reels out there, his footwork was god tier given he only shot with his right hand.
Al had some good years. Loved his game.
Good footwork is honestly the sexiest thing in the NBA
Yea i miss this style so much. Everyone couldnt do it but i loved the post work back then
Big Al played his own game out there. What a joy he was to watch.
You guys know that meme that’s something like “All guys think about us some obscure NBA role players from their childhood”?
Al Jefferson is that guy for me
God that grizzlies team was something else
Never was an All-Star but he got 3rd Team All-NBA in 2013-2014, 8th in MVP voting. Averaged 22 pts 11 rebounds that year for Charlotte
Saw him play in Denver that year and he put up the most casual 35pts-11reb. Cooked Mozgov over and over again.
this got me in immaculate grid the other day. how was he not an all star that year!!!
Because he waited until after the all-star break to become the best player in the league that year.
