As for Ukraine, these Olympics were underwhelming since we only finished in 22nd place on the medal table despite previously competing for top 10 placements. There were some additional gold medals opportunities within reach. We completely failed in swimming, tennis, and some other sports. Still, the result is somehow decent considering the circumstances. What about your country?

Athletics didn’t do too badly. A medal in every relay is pretty decent. Sad that Hudson-Smith and Kerr didn’t convert their excellent form into golds but they were pipped on the line by better men on the day. There were a good few national records too.

Yeah at least two golds were lost right on the line in track events. Heptathlon by a very small margin too.

Track cycling seems on the way back up and will be a source of golds again soon. Overall I’m pretty content with the GB performance.

Heptathlon by a much smaller margin than I expected against an athlete thought by many to be the GOAT in heptathlon.

Track cycling I think a lot of other nations have caught up and we won’t see dominance by one nation now. Saying that, Netherlands men’s sprint team and US women’s endurance are well ahead of the field.
