As for Ukraine, these Olympics were underwhelming since we only finished in 22nd place on the medal table despite previously competing for top 10 placements. There were some additional gold medals opportunities within reach. We completely failed in swimming, tennis, and some other sports. Still, the result is somehow decent considering the circumstances. What about your country?

    Yes but I’m frustrated more people will remember Australia for Raygun than for our medal performance.

      I agree. It was our most successful Olympics and after record breaking days now we are being mocked all over the world, and the narration quickly changed from our nations success to our breakdancing performance.

      I was able to watch every single day and saw all our events and cried so many proud tears for our athletes. There was a few disappointing missed golds at the end, and now I can’t wait for the day we hit 20 golds!

      Give it a few weeks. She seems like the kind of gal who will own it, or at least that’s what I’m hoping she’ll do. Plus the internet has a long memory but a short attention span. I’m hoping she’ll lean into the memes, because that’s generally how you flip this sort of thing into a positive.
