As for Ukraine, these Olympics were underwhelming since we only finished in 22nd place on the medal table despite previously competing for top 10 placements. There were some additional gold medals opportunities within reach. We completely failed in swimming, tennis, and some other sports. Still, the result is somehow decent considering the circumstances. What about your country?
It was so bad I had to find one or two more countries to cheer for to actually experience some joy.
I usually cheer for Ukraine or the US (so that they beat China). I was rooting hard for the UK in 2016 so that they could beat China. I remember that I was absolutely ecstatic when they managed to do it even though I am not British.
Why are you cheering for people to beat China?
