You need to start with the OG Trilogy:

    Olympics 1896/1900/1904

Then there is some filler, then you get to 1936: The Dark Side of the Force

Then more filler, then 1972: Darkness Falls, followed by 1980: Into the Jaws of Madness, 1984: Land of the Free

Then you get more or less to the current timeline, ending with 2024: Top Gun: Raygun

The 1904 season was comically bad, but in the same way that The Room is fun to watch

I started reading the news last year. I’m already at 1963.

I say you should start with what’s still considered the most incredible season of the Olympics, Beijing 2008. 16 years later people still talk about it.

No, you should start with 1896 and go from there or it won’t make sense.

I actually started first with the clay pots and artifacts of Ancient Greece to see the true essence of the games and the precursor to todays dramas.

Excellent season. Does take awhile to decipher of course.

They abruptly dropped the incredibly popular US/USSR rivalry storyline between 24&25.

Crazy when you think you we have access to all seasons while people back then had to wait 1500 years between season 293 and 294

I’d suggest watching one from around the time you were born, and then go up from there. It’s easier to relate to media that was around when you were a child so you can have a bit of nostalgia attached to olympic history.

I am so confused by the question, and even more confused about the answers.

    Is this a joke?

For a serious answer - this is a common question on TV show and movie subreddits (“do I have to start from season 1 or can I begin with season 5/the movie/the reboot”/“do I have to watch the movies in order or can I start with the third one”)

It’s hard to find the originals from Greece, but if you can start there. Otherwise I would start with the first modern Olympics and continue.
