I think it’s fair to gently remind some of these organizations that they would not exist without American support of the Olympics over the past several decades.

Right? I would love is the USA says “we pull WADA funding if this isn’t cleared up”, as it appears WADA is like 50% funded by USA (IOC has said that the USA must support WADA’s standard to not lose the Salt Lake bid, but I don’t think that included funding)
Sounds mildly corrupt to pressure organisations into making decisions favourable to your nation based on funding…

Perhaps, but it’s not unreasonable to say that all inquiries should be settled before the podium
Except they start to wonder if WADA is partial to someone else (the whole China drama, that from how I read it, was uncovered by a Time’s investigation)
Seems like all these organisations have some form of corruption :( gymnastics seems like a mess

There’s nothing nasty about reminding them who pays the bills.
Sure it is. It’s abuse of the power of wealth and inherently corrupt. No better than a rich kid losing a game and kicking everyone off the court because their dad’s name is on it.
Besides, that money was there to fund a fair system, not a system that favors Americans. In a fair system, sometimes the result doesn’t go your way. That’s life. Breaking the system because your feelings got hurt is nasty and weird.
