    I live in a part of the US where historically there has been a huge amount of Finnish immigration, in fact historically one of the most active areas of Finnish immigration and their descendants in the US outside of Michigan (Clark County, WA).

    Mostly it was the fact they’re Apostolic Lutherens, which is a religious denomination not found in many other areas of the world.

    It was very interesting growing up alongside them in the schools, but over the last three decades they have absolutely dominated the general construction industry in the area.

    Finnish-American companies have corporate headquarters in my city now that do work in multiple states and seem very successful and profitable.

    They must be doing something right.
