Genuinely asking because if not then he’s be the only MVP in league history to not make it. But when you think about the career he had after the injury, the fact we saw less than 4 years of him at what would we come to know as his best, and the credentials of other members, there’s definitely nuance and questions to it.

over a long enough time span yes. not first ballot, not in a couple years, or even several. but many decades down the line when players of this era are seen as pioneers then its totally in the realm of possibility.

Unfortunately not but there should be an honorable mention or something because he was on his way.

HOF 100% the fact he still has signature sneaker coming out every year tells you how much fans love him.

Absolutely freaking not a hall of famer and it will be a shame to actual greats like Jerry West and MJ if this buffoon gets in. You are watering down what is supposed to be AN ACTUAL HONOUR. YOU DON’T GET IN WITH JUST 3 SEASONS.

Ridiculous people stil support that dude after his sexual assault case keep him out

if d-rose never played again after his mvp year he might be in right now. its just a matter of penalizing him for never being the same again after his injuries.

Malone is in there with his history, and there are worse basketball players in there, too. It isn’t as high of a bar as other sports.

The sexual assault case that he took all the way to trial, where he had to air his sexual dirty laundry in public and on the record, in order to clear his name?

It wasn’t like he got off on a technicality on that one - there was a lot of strong evidence that she was trying to extort him after a consensual encounter, and the jury sided with Rose.

That’s tough. Probably one of the most controversial “what if” players there has ever been. He probably shouldn’t be in the HOF, but basketball HOF has no standards lol

Rose’s MVP numbers were insane and he deserved it over LeBron: 26.7 PPG, 51% FG%, 33% from 3, 76% from the line, 7.5 rebounds, 7 assists and 1.6 steals. LeBron only averaged 25 PPG, 44.5% FG%, 33.2% from 3, 86% from the line, 4 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1 steal.
