I’ve watched the basketball religiously during the Olympics and I have fallen in love with sport. I was wondering is there a community of NBA fans in the UK? It’s really nice to finally find a sport I’m interested in, I’d love to find a community to share that with.

If you’re London based they show NBA games at a few different spots. I’ve been to the bar inside empire casino in Leicester Square to watch playoffs a few times and there’s always a bunch of NBA fans

This should improve soon due to Euroleague’s biggest goal is to expand to countries with huge financial potential but lack of basketball culture and UK is probably the number 1 market they aim for.

I met some cool folks who worked at the nba store in London. I watched some games with them while I was in London a year ago and it was fun. Problem is games are on at bad times, so we mostly talked about games from the previous day.

Also there aren’t a lot of sports bars that show games so you will have to watch at someone’s house if you want to watch live

Ah I didn’t think about timing, I’m getting a subscription to the NBA league, so I’ll be able to watch it at home.

There are, but the timezones will make it a b*tch. Most NBA games are played in the evening U.S. time, so east coast games will tip off after midnight in London. And good luck following a west coast team, you’re looking at like 3 am London.
