That’s more to do with him not shooting nearly as many 3s.

People on this sub like to pretend that “Aura” doesn’t exist or matter but it’s the reason why players like Harden, Tatum, and Booker are shat on while players like Jimmy or Ant almost never recieve criticism.

Butler has the friendliest whistle in the league IMO which makes him less likely to flop. It’s unfair how the refs treat Butler relative to the rest of the league, but the absurd calls Harden has had in his career are the cause for 90% of the hate.

It’s the difference between getting every 50/50 call your way and creating fouls where they don’t exist.

Harden’s foul-drawing antics are grosser to watch (because he largely tries to hook guys arms on reaches) so he gets more hatred about it, but Jimmy’s “slam my shoulder into the defender to draw the foul” is pretty much just as bait-y.

Not to mention that foul call in the finals where he got 3 free throws for kicking Aaron Gordon in the dick is one of the most insane calls I’ve seen in my life.

harden has so many flops that are so hilarious that i laugh at it. this stat is heavily related to how jimmy draws contact and is a slasher who drives a lot and is not good from 3, which not only increases the fts he gets, but also reduces the amount of points he gets from a field goal
