USA with 12 All Star level (or above) Nba players is still the favorite to win. Despite some struggles in tuneup games.
But what about the second one?
Canada have a team of Nba players.
France, Australia, Spain, Germany, Serbia, and other countries are in the mix.
But who is your bet as the silver medalist?
This subreddit every single time overrates Canada, while their best result is one-third place in the World Cup.
Basically, no one watches any international basketball, so if they can recognize an NBA player, that’s it.Even with the NBA players, US lost against Germany in the World Cup. So every team has a chance to trounce this team. I think it’s too early to predict.
The team the USA sent to the World Cup was a joke. Austin Reeves was on it. Ant was the best player and while he’s good he’s not generational yet.
This one is also a joke. Having French Cameroonian on it. European teams will eat this team alive. Already Australia and S Sudan gave the blueprint. I don’t know why they are comparing this joke of a squad to 92’s dream team. 92’s DT will beat US’s current team by 50 points.
I’d still bet on France for a silver. Their group isn’t as a strong as Canada’s so they should be a safe bet to advance.

Duh, South Sudan.
I’d bet on France having more chemistry as a team and international play experience vs Canada who’s usually struggled to qualify.
Canada has “on paper” been the 2nd best team in the world going back a while now. It’s been extremely frustrating to watch them fail and not live up to it, as their biggest problem during this time has been their 2 rotating coaches of Triano and Rautins…
They finally moved past that with a new coaching staff and I’m hoping it translates because all the boys are really ready to play.
