I mean it’s so common in the NBA for this to happen nowadays even those that signed a multi-year max contract. Why are players so entitled to be traded even though they are paid? Did you see Ohtani demand a trade when he was with the Angels? Or Judge? Or Trout? Or Soto with the Nats?

Seriously. Why do so many NBA superstars threaten to demand getting traded?

    To win.

    Look honestly its better for the franchise too. If you aint winning and your franchise is running out of assets to improve the team with, then its time to think about rebuilding.

    Few players are really talented enough where you would not give up on them for a long time even if you are struggling.

    But said struggling is still being a playoff team that cant get over the hump.

    If you arent a playoff team, then there aint anything to wait for.
