I love watching the olympics since I was little, since 2008 in Beijing. I personally think Paris opening ceremony was one of the best I’ve seen.

It was really creative, and they thought outside the box. The artists were amazing, the boat introduction was cool as hell, overall the entire thing was great.

I know about the controversy of the drag queens imitating the last supper or something, but I thought it was really pretty, and my mum, who is catholic, thought it was great.

I don’t know why else people think it was bad. What are your thoughts about it?

TIA and please be nice (and to each other too!)

I don’t think it was the worst, although I do think it was fairly bad.

Things that stood out to me:

    1. Celine was amazing.
    2. Gojira was amazing.
    3. Lady Gaga was meh, primarily due to the weather and the performer slipping on the wet stage.
    4. The Last Supper & Feast of the Gods was weird and trashy… like, why is there a random kid sitting there? Why is that person’s ball sack hanging out of their shorts? Why does everything look so low budget?
    5. Can we just stop with the bad commentary already?
    6. I was glad I was watching on TV. It would have been really disappointing to go see the opening ceremony only to find out you were only going to see one or two parts because it wasn’t being held all at one place.
    7. My least favorite part was the parade on the Seine. It was SO SLOOOOWWW.
