The decision outraged U.S. Olympic and gymnastics officials, and led to a torrent of online abuse against both Chiles and Ana Barbosu, the Romanian athlete who ended up with the bronze.
They’re not refusing to look at the evidence. They’re refusing to try the case again. They have so many Olympic cases to review, if they make an exception to try the same case again they have to make an exception for others too.
I mean, even in common justice with people’s freedom in the game, you’ll always have a pretty low limit to how many appeals can happen, even with egregious errors.
They’ve had to rule on other Olympic related cases too. This isn’t the only case they’ve been working on this week
Either way why would they hear an appeal on a case they already decided? People dont try the same case again in the same court, they appeal to a higher court (in this case that’s the Swiss Supreme Court).

How many olympic cases do they have to review lol
Also, it’s not like this is a six month affair. We’re like two weeks out and it’s already happened once.
I think their only other ongoing Olympic case is Vinesh Phogat’s (maybe there’s more idk).
But they have other cases in general: https://www.tas-cas.org/en/general-information/news-detail/article/list-of-hearings-4.html
So then how do they have “so many Olympic cases to review”?

“So many”, bro. Didn’t you read it the first time? “So many”… you wouldn’t understand, but its so many.
