LeBron: 4 rings in 20+ seasons, changing teams 3 times

Kobe: 5 rings without changing teams

LeBron: 2 superstar teammates (3 if you count Kyrie)

Kobe: 1 superstar teammate

The Shaq argument doesn’t make sense since LeBron has played with Wade, Bosh, Kyrie, Love, Davis all in their primes. Kobe just had Shaq and Pau. Even if you said they had equal help, Kobe got 1 more ring so….

So is LeBron just better because his stats look nicer? Because it hasn’t translated to winning as much as Kobe did in less time and in a tougher conference.

I don’t think people are valuing winning enough. I know it’s a team sport but I just showed you that Kobe won more with less.

The rings thing is fucking stupid. Pippen having 6 rings doesn’t make him better than Kobe. Tom Heinsohn won 8 rings in 9 years of playing! He’s the GOAT!!! C’mon.

Lebron is a better passer, better rebounder. Kobe was a better defender. Scoring, honestly I’ll take Lebron. If Lebron forced the ball more he’d easily score more than Kobe, his FG% is way higher. Lebron plays team ball better and he’s a better teammate. Lebron has had probably 5-6 more productive years than Kobe had.

Kobe gets a lot of legacy revisionist treatment. If you want to put him at 3 all time you can make the argument but he’s not close to Lebron or MJ.
