There were some additional gold medals opportunities within reach. We completely failed in swimming, tennis, and some other sports. Still, the result is somehow decent considering the circumstances. The day my country makes the top 10 of the Summer Olympics standings will be the greatest national achievement…I don’t think it will ever happen…
My country only managed to achieve this once in 1996 when we absolutely dominated in gymnastics.
