Where did this come from.

It has overrun this subreddit, every single comment and post bloated by “prime LeBron” “prime Curry” “prime Harden” “prime Jokic.” Ah, great thanks for being specific that you meant PRIME Lebron, now we know you’re talking about somewhere between 2003 and 2024. NEWSFLASH: HE’S BEEN GOOD THE WHOLE TIME. Oh, PRIME curry, you mean a specific moment in over a DECADE of splashing nets?! Prime in what way? Can prime Barkley have an off night? Can prime Dwight forget how to PnR? You’ve all been playing too much 2k maxing out the sliders at 99 and wanting an exact statistical result from your theorycrafting, touch grass and watch the game, not the box score.

Prime has lost all meaning, signifying nothing, told by an idiot, infecting every corner of our discourse.

Stop saying prime.

Historically speaking, almost all basketball players have their apex professional seasons between age 26-28. Sparks of greatness before hand, athletic decline after. Very few can put up career bests before and after that age range.
