Weis was a first round pick of the Knicks in 1999. He got bad advice from his agent and went back to France. I think it’s a bit unfair to say the dunk in particular ruined his career. He just never really took off in Europe, and also battled a lot of personal issues as well. I’m sure if he had been a really good European player post 2000 Olympics, he could have gotten a chance.
