  • I wouldn’t say it’s because the league is deeper or anything, but those players are the greatest ever for a reason. They came in absurdly dominant from the start. Players like that are extremely rare

    LeBron, while he wasn’t as dominant his rookie season, made a massive leap his 2nd and 3rd years and basically never looked back for 20+ straight seasons. There’s also the fact he came in younger. Most of the high school legends took at least a year or 2 to truly start utterly dominating


  • I wouldn’t describe those players ahead of their time. That would be players like Mark Price, Reggie Miller, Chris Jackson etc

    Most the players you described I think actually fit best in the era they’re in

    I’d say a guy like Jahlil Okafor would’ve been given more chances in the 80s/90s/00s, but his defense was nonexistent and he was a black hole offensively. He also had a poor attitude and work ethic. These things mattered in any era, so he’d probably not be that great regardless
