During a radio appearance on 95.7 The Game, The Athletic’s Anthony Slater reported that the Warriors “don’t want to trade” second-year guard Brandin Podziemski because he’s “beloved organizationally.”

“One of the rare aspects to him, compared to the Warriors’ other recent picks, is Steve Kerr couldn’t keep him off the floor as a rookie,” Slater added.

It doesn’t seem like the warriors want to give up anyone in any trade. Makes sense, the team needs to be kept together for a semblance of competing, but this probably means no deal gets done.

If they want to ride Curry to one more title or if they want to rebuild, Podz has trade value that should be used either way. No one is going to give up an important piece for Moody.

I think it’ll take both Kuminga and Podz to get a serious player who is ready to star alongside Curry.

Neither Podz nor Kuminga should every be considered untouchable in a trade for a better player while Steph Curry is still on the team. Same shit Lacob pulled with Wiseman. They also didn’t have to make a draft pick every single year and roster the player during Curry’s late prime but they did. Pretending to compete while filling half the roster with draft selections. Every single basketball decision post KD has been made with Lacob and his sons’ influence and their obsession with winning with players they hand selected.
