Despite still being on the lower end in volume, Bam continues to show an improvement in shooting, going from basically nothing to being able to drop around 2 a night when needed.

Including the Olympics this summer that goes to 22-59, so around 37%.

Coach Erik Spoelstra recently mentioned Bam’s seemingly developing shot as a potential additional aspect to the offense, even if on low volume. Do you all think there’s something real here or is this just “a coach hyping up his player, more at 11?”

38% NBA and 37% if manually adding in the Olympics…?

Looks promising but still skeptical, I would assume that most guys making it to the league after the 3 point revolution at least explores their potential from the deep. Sure, there’s improvement with repetition, and I’m sure there’s outliers, but to go from essentially 0 attempts to shooting close to 40% seems pretty unlikely this fast.

I would say it’s because it’s on super low volume and because he was basically going from 0 to this.

Bam has been persistent in his 3 pointers. He wants to stretch the floor out like a putty, let him, he has earn it. The East is on notice ion care bout narratives

The big thing for me is that none of his 3s have been forced. Bigs are giving him a lot of space especially at the top of the key and he’s been very good at getting open in the corners. I can easily see him putting up 3-5 3s a night with the way he’s defended.

Yep, his jumper looks smooth af. I’m super happy about this because he’s spent way too long being restricted to a DHO merchant. If Spo is letting him shoot there must be something actually developing there.

Hope my goat Dereck Lively can do the same one day, he has a good looking jumper and there’s been rumors of him being knock down in practices/scrimmages.
