What do you say ? Man, that pre-season game vibe was insane the crowd was so loud i feel like Montreal would actually be quite a good add on to the NBA. A breath of fresh air in a new type of market with probably the craziest fans on the planet. Went in Montreal in 2021 and that’s the year the Hockey team went to the finals and people were sleeping in the street for DAYS partying that was fucking crazy and I’ve been in Europe to watch soccer and the vibe in the city was probably the best sports vibe I’ve had to this day.

So, your opinion boys ? MTL locked in ? Nahhh ?

Went to NBA preseason games in Montreal back in 2012 and 2014 and the fans were wild. It sold out both times and the Raptors weren’t even good in 2012. We have the market, but politicians will be holding us back from potentially having a team.

I think an MLB would make more sense to MTL than an NBA team but who knows, maybe an NBA is what this city needs to bring itself out with a bang.

No one cares about baseball in Montreal. The seats were mostly empty back when we had a team. Baseball isn’t as attractive as basketball in Montreal for sure.

The new North East West South division with Montreal, Toronto, Abu Dhabi, Mexico City and London will be wild.

I like the idea. Maybe as part of an expansion to, or after, Mexico City, Vancouver, and maybe a US market that has 0 or 1 major sports team (not a saturated medium-sized market with 2 or 3 existing major sports teams already).

I think Montreal might have a case for the Expansion, whoever, I feel it would be more about balancing out Vegas or Seattle.

And to be honest as time go by, I believe moving NO to East and adding Vegas and Seattle is what could make the most sense.
