I looked at some of the all-time assist records for the playoffs and I was blown away by how much Magic Johnson dominated some of these statistical categories. Some of these records seem like they may last a looooong time.

I think the main thing holding back LeBron’s longevity at this point is the new Vegas expansion team he wants to be a part owner of, as players can’t have an ownership stake in a team.
Umm, I’m sure he wants more success as a player more than anything in the world but due to his age he can’t have that.
If players see no hope in winning and doing anything more with their career (nothing to chase), then they will retire.
If he retires, it’s that. Not the Vegas BS. If he sees a championship on the horizon, he doesn’t give a flying f*ck about no expansion team!
He’ll need 3 or 4 more deep playoff runs to break it at his current rate. Which is very very unlikely.
