Here are some of the ones that I’ve heard:

  1. The Wizards are going to be a Play-In team or at least a 11th seed with Poole and Kuzma. The Wizards had Beal and Porzingis and didn’t even make the play-ins the season before. What makes you think Poole and Kuzma could lead them to one?

  2. Isiah Thomas deserves to be on a NBA Roster. A roster spot isn’t something a player deserves but besides that, Younger Fans still think IT could contribute to a team. IT’s offense has declined and his defense is getting worse. Doesn’t help He’s 5’9

  3. Reggie Miller is overrated. This one is weird because Reggie is respected by Players from his era but some fans in today’s nba thinks He’s overrated because He’s just a shooter, lack of accolades or no titles (How do you expect him to win a title over the Bulls or Lakers in his prime?)

  4. Jamal Crawford is the most overrated player. Is He even rated that high to even be called overrated?

  5. Wemby is going to fail. Honestly, I’m surprised Wemby is getting so much shit from some fans even though He’s just a rookie.

  6. Not a bad take at the time but It’s just a take that didn’t age well. The Suns are a finals contender this year. I never saw the Suns as Contenders due to lack of depth and defense.

  7. The Pistons should’ve drafted Melo. I don’t think Melo could work on this team due to the fact that His playstyle and ego wouldn’t mesh well with the team. And I don’t know If Brown was willing to play a younger player. Also If the Pistons would still trade for Rasheed.

  8. The Suns shouldn’t have got rid of CP3 because He provided playmaking. Chris Paul missed 24 games and is getting old

  9. This was around 2022 but the Kings should trade for a injury prone Jonathan Isaac

  10. Dejounte Murray could make the Pelicans a title contender. I know this is early but The Hawks were barely a playoff team with him and young.

  11. The Nets should relocate back to New Jersey. Fans weren’t showing up to Nets games back then, You think they would show up now?

  12. Anaheim should have a NBA team. California doesn’t need a 5th team, SoCal doesn’t need a 3rd team, especially near the Clippers and Lakers

  13. Chicago should have a 2nd team. Chicago doesn’t need a 2nd team. It will just be a Chicago version of the Clippers

    1. Dirk is better than LeBron because Dirk beat him in the 2011 Finals

    2. Kobe beat the 2010 Celtics without any help

    3. Richard Hamilton should be in the Hall of Fame

    4. Rick Adelman threw the 1992 Finals because he used to play in Chicago and wanted to help his old team win

    5. Dwight Howard doesn’t belong in the Hall of Fame

I’ve never seen someone post Howard shouldn’t be in the HOF. My opinion is him and Alex English are the 2 players that got snubbed from the top 75 list.

There was his annoying user on Reddit who kept going on and on regarding Dennis Smith Jr being a future MVP which I guess is fine. The annoying part was he kept claiming he called Curry being a multiple MVP winner like EG calling Jokic. " I think DSJ will be MVP. Think I’m crazy? What if I told you I called Curry becoming a future MVP on draft night"

OP, you know some of the “takes” are just people hating/stirring up shit right?

No one truly believes that prime MJ would be Derozan in today’s NBA.
People shit on Wemby because to some people, it’s fun to take the opposing view and in the rare chance it turns out to be true, they can claim to be such genius because they saw it coming. It has nothing to do with what they truly believe in.

Some takes also require a lot of context. Whether trading for an injury-prone player (Jonathan Issac or otherwise) or keeping an old player (CP0 or otherwise) makes sense relies a lot on context. If I am a fan who thinks the team can and should try to win now, then the above options make sense. Then again, there will always be people who don’t believe in mortaging the future just for one chip and that also makes sense. Personally, I think chip matters above all, but hey, that’s me.

6 is ridiculous to me. I made 80 dollars betting my friend the Suns won’t win a game in the playoffs. Made that bet in mid March before knowing who they’d play. I’m tempted to do that bet again, but I like what I’ve seen out of Devin Booker this summer and the signing of Tyus Jones. They’re just overpaying a guy who doesn’t win and another one who’s old and only scores.

Especially after Darko and his team were ducking Melo. Melo and his team wanted a workout w/ Darko to showcase Melo…but it would’ve exposed Darko.

I’ve seen a lot of crazy ones on X but they’re just blatant trolling so I don’t take it that seriously. Im talking about shit like LeBron not top 25 or Jordan would be a G-leaguer in todays NBA.

I saw someone say Ant Edwards wouldn’t be very good cause he was inefficient his rookie year. He shot 42% from the field and 33% from three, those are completely fine for a rookie.

In best young core debates I’ve seen people put Thunder above Spurs and I just cannot understand that thinking with what Wemby has shown.

The Thunder already have a really good team who just happens to be extremely young…The Thunder are way up on the Spurs and even if Wemby became somewhere between Giannis, Embid and Jokic great, That’s only a 67% chance to get 1 chip where the Thunder are looking Warrior like and have a lot more room for error and success

Sure I might rather be the Thunder but that’s not because their young core is better, it’s cause Shai plus good role players plus their young core. I’d personally swap all the Thunder young players, however awesome they are, for all the Spurs young players just cause Wemby would be included.
