There are some super underrated legends of the game from back in the day. Nique, Jermaine O’Neal, Dennis Johnson, Bernard King, just to name a few.

Who, out of the players active today that are considered superstars (or were at one point), do you think will be mostly forgotten about and underrated for future generations?

I used to have this discussion with my roommate and he always said James Harden, which I thought was a good pick but I figured he’d have a chip by now and I always thought “The Beard” was a memorable… gimmick? Idk. My pick was always Paul George, but now I think he was spot on with James Harden.

I don’t know if he was ever considered a superstar but it seems Joe Johnson has already been quickly forgotten about. Same with Deron Williams, although I wouldn’t count them since they aren’t active anymore.

Who’s your pick?

You can just point to multi all-nba winners but not quite at an MVP level who had no memorable deep playoff runs and were just completely overshadowed by someone superior in the same era: Amar’e Stoudemire, Lamarcus Aldridge, Alonzo Mourning, Blake Griffin, Carmelo Anthony, DeMar DeRozan, DeMarcus Cousins, Domas Sabonis, KAT,

Definitely Demar DeRozan. Won nothing and will be remembered for 3 things, his mid range, being part of the Kawhi trade, and being LeBron’s bitch

Not active anymore, but Blake Griffin will be lost to history

Paul George sounds like a prototypical answer for this, but gen Z lives him.

Now don’t get me wrong. I actually love watching this guy play and really wanted him to get a ring.

But I think CP3 will be one of these guys that will fade out of people’s memories.

Nikola Jokic 100%. He’s gonna pull off Tim Duncan and disappear to live at some horse ranch and noone will ever know where the fuck he is. Even now he doesn’t even have any social media which is mind blowing.

I think a superstar like Damian lillard may get forgotten about if he doesn’t win a ring
