    I am!

Brazil usually has a great reputation in the Paralympics, and our athletes are ready, so it’s going to be a great show!

I look forward to watching Nick Mayhugh run, and the other athletes too, but he’s memorable to me from last Paralympics.

I’d be excited if NBC aired them like they do the Olympics

I will be. My wife has Ataxia from a genetic condition she has, so she has an official Para designation (T35) for running. She was actually offered a chance to compete for money ($2,500 for the first place) in her division in the most recent Boston Marathon, but turned it down, because she wasn’t sure if she would be competitive, and, if she runs as an amateur, she can have a “support runner” as someone with a Para designation. That means that she can offer a spot to a friend to run the Boston marathon with her, no time qualification needed other than to be faster than her (and that’s around 5 hours). I actually ran the last 7 miles with her several years ago when she could have two support runners who swapped off. That last quarter mile on Boylston is an absolutely incredible experience.

Broadcast TV, that’s the problem. Even if you wanted to see it, there is nothing on.
