As someone not experienced in Parkour: Could this be done safely? Most of the Parkour I’ve seen has been in a demonstration capacity, it feels like pressing folks to get the best time would lead to serious injury.
I used to avidly watch it on YouTube like 10 years ago, so I’m far from knowledgeable.
I would imagine most of the danger comes from the actual location/course and should be very important in the courses design.
I’m just advocating mainly for something new that doesn’t rely on judging and has a clear timed/point aspect. Parkour Sprint could be a new cool thing to add
They totally could’ve included le parkour instead…
As long as there all wearing Assassin Creed drip like that opening ceremony guy I’m all for it.
Parkour time trials would be much better than break dancing tbh

It’s an obstacle course when they race. Watched in live at the World Games 2022.
Sadly breaking was sold out because the venue was under Sloss Furnace in Birmingham which was fire.

Sports in general can always lead to serious injury
Obstacle course will be in 2028
I would love to watch that. The newer sports (climbing/bmx/skateboarding) are fast becoming my favourites
Surfing when it was a good day was awesome.
According to boomer climbers that’s what competition climbing is
doesn’t it have a historical basis in France?
*le parkour*
yeah make it as french as possible
But yeah, it could work, like skate; make a park and have atheltes make a pass, most impressive pass wins.
Only thing is I dont think theres a federation of competitive parkour.
I mean it already is a french sport originally. Surprised they didnt try to include it this year.
Macron could propose fucking grannies as a discipline
