I’ve never really been into basketball or sports in general, but seeing the Olympics and the culture surrounding basketball in general has me really interested. I know NOTHING about the NBA or basketball (don’t even know the rules), so I was just wondering the best way to get into it?
watch highlights of players you know, both playoffs and regular season, make sure to hate joel embiid with every fiber of your being and tune into espn to watch them ride lebrons meat
the Best way to get into the NBA is by being one of the Top 30 best young talents in the World every calendar year
being one of the Best non-NBA player in the world during your prime won’t make a player attractive for NBA teams to sign you
Highlights on YouTube is the best way. Pick a few current stars like Steph Curry, Luka Doncic, LeBron or Giannis to see how different play styles work. Here’s a video that explains basic rules and objectives:
Wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller
Pick a bad team to root for. You’ll learn a lot by hearing all the criticism of what they’re doing wrong. The gear is less expensive and it keeps low expectations low. Eventually your luck turns around. – A Warriors Fan
Highlights in general
Then when you see the player you find the most excitement, follow that team
Try to look at historic games if you want to know ablut the history of the game
get off reddit thats the best way. reddit will ruin it for u
Honestly I’d skip it. The NBA and culture sounding it is pretty lame. Lots of cry baby weirdos. Lackluster play. It’s pretty bad honestly.
Watch games
Play nba game on pc or console. New one is releasing in september.
Practice practice practice!
Find a player to root for. Ideally an up and coming guy. It’s fun following a player and seeing the guy you like become a star. Or you could be like my brother and everyone he roots for gets injured or becomes a bum. His current favorite is tatum.
