I’m only finding people covering it and responding to it and not the actual video. At best some meme videos have more of the content.

It seems like I’m being gaslighted by how bad this was without it being proven to me. Lol. I’m kidding of course I wasn’t watching every second of the Olympics so that’s my bad and I’m sure I can take people’s word for it but I’d still like to see it.

I watched almost all the breaking live and I don’t think she was nearly as bad as everyone made her out to be, the editing and music behind most of the reels intentionally made it look much worse than it was. She didn’t have the same level of athleticism as most of the competitors, but even though her moves were generally more basic and less complex, she was on beat. She seemed out of her league in terms of what she was physically capable of accomplishing, but there were one or two others that also weren’t on the same level as their competitors. I don’t believe for a second that she intentionally danced poorly to prove a point, as some of her defenders are claiming. She genuinely looked like she did the best she could, but was simply outmatched in this competition, and definitely doesn’t deserve all the hate and ridicule.

From the videos I’ve seen it is one of those just because you can, doesn’t mean you should scenarios. If she is the best the country has then maybe don’t enter the competition on the world stage.

I agree with that, they probably shouldn’t have sent her to the Olympics to begin with, not sure how she ended up qualifying. My point was just that the reels and memes make it look much worse than it actually came across while watching the competition in real time. She was extremely outmatched and deserved the zero votes she got, but I don’t think she deserves to be internationally ridiculed, I feel bad for her.

Idk about that either. If that’s the mindset, then plenty of countries (maybe all of them) should’ve opted out of competition with Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, Simone Biles, etc…cause plenty of countries got embarrassed by those individuals. She got to live a dream of being an Olympic athlete and had the opportunity to represent her country. Despite the aftermath, which noone could’ve predicted to this extent, i think she should proud of her efforts. I don’t think she seriously thought she stood a breakers chance of winning. But she made some noise and now she is a trailblazer for breaking in her country.

I honestly was more entertained by her breaking than the opponent. I thought she had some showmanship and charisma the other lacked. A zero score was harsh in my opinion.
