Assuming Lebron, Steph and KD wont be on the team, we won’t have a player of their caliber on the team. The best players would be Tatum , Brown , and Edwards. They’re good but are they good enough star players to elevate team USA to where it should be? Serbia absolutely dominating in this olympics and France was easily the second best team. France and the other European teams will only keep growing with the rise of all the European players entering the league. Even the players who aren’t in the league are insanely good in this type of olympic setting. Team USA 2028 roster will probably be a lot worse then 2024 so how are you guys feeling about how good we will do? Do you think we’ll still win gold or maybe a lower medal or not even a medal at all? Anything can happen in 4 years and a lot of players will get better but i’m not sure if they’ll be good enough players to make a good team that works together and not just a team of good players that don’t fit around each other. Sure players like Cade , Brunson and Ja are good guards and will get better, but good enough to compete in the olympics against these other insane teams? In my opinion,  it seems like we will have a lot of good players to make a good team but not good enough like the past and not good enough to beat all these other teams in the olympics.

In Tokyo 2020, Tatum was the #2 scorer averaging over 20 PPG behind KD on 60% true shooting where they won the gold. And FGA were more split with more ball movement. No Bron or Curry, or Embiid AD. Pops is an all-time coach but they played better team ball, which they should return to vs a send off for 3 all-timers
