Genuinely curious cause it can’t have just come from that one Cate Campbell video that resurfaced…right?

I mean if we’re being honest, the United States curb stomps Australia in just about every game. And Australia just continuously moves the god damn goal post every time which just kind of screams “I’m a sore loser” to be frank. And then they (among other people in Europe) will go and complain that the United States sends too many athletes and that there should be a cap forgetting that countries like Germany sent 428 athletes to Paris, Canada sent 337 athletes, and France sent FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETY SIX athletes to the Paris games.

Oh but no no AMERICA is the one who sends too many athletes. Got it.

I get it that people can be annoyed by our rowdiness and our “RAH AMERICA WHAT THE FUCK IS A KILOMETER!” shit talk…But we can back that up cause we know we’re good cause we send the best. Simone Biles, Katie Ledecky, Caeleb Dressel, Sha’Carri Richardson. I know these people won’t compete forever, others like Rebeca Andrade are vying for that top spot and giving Simone a run for her money. I know this. But for now…we ARE the nation at the top for a LOT of reasons.

For Cate Campbell to say “I’ve never wanted to PUNCH someone more” when it comes to our intense support for our athletes is in all honesty pretty poor sportsmanship. For people to want a cap on the number of athletes makes no real sense either. Not to mention she couldn’t even back up that smack talk a year later.

I dunno I just feel kind of confused. Feels like it’s the first I’ve heard of it.
